Kemble & Co

Kemble was a British piano maker founded by Michael Kemble in Stoke Newington, London, in 1911. It later moved to Bletchley, Milton Keynes, and grew into the largest piano factory in Britain, best known for compact uprights. Yamaha became a partner in 1986 and the controlling owner in 1988; the factory closed in 2009, ending piano making in the UK.
