What the app does
Health check
Is your piano out of tune? Find out in two minutes
Play eight keys across the keyboard and the app tells you whether your piano needs a tuning, how flat or sharp it is in the bass, middle and treble, and how sure it is of the result.
- A clear verdict: in tune, needs a tuning, or needs a pitch raise
- A Health Report you can share as an image or a link
- A rough cost estimate before you call a technician

Tuner
A tuner built for pianos
Play any key and see exactly how many cents it is from pitch, with a needle and a strobe that settles as you get close. The analysis runs on your phone, so it reacts instantly.
- All 88 keys, from A0 to C8
- Reference pitch from 415 to 444 Hz for old or specially tuned pianos
- Works without an internet connection

Guided tuning
Tune the whole piano, one string at a time
The app measures how your own piano's strings behave and calculates a tuning curve for it, the way a technician stretches the octaves. Then it walks you through every string in order, with help on placing mutes and turning the pins.
- A tuning curve fitted to your piano, not a generic table
- A pitch-raise pass for pianos that have dropped far below pitch
- Before-and-after measurements saved with each tuning

Your pianos
Every check and tuning, kept together
Save each piano you look after, at home, at school or at a client, and see its history: when it was checked, how far it had drifted and when it was tuned. Sign in to keep it in sync across your phones.
- History of health checks and tunings for each piano
- Sign in with Apple, Google or email
- Synced across devices, and it keeps working offline

How it works
Install the app
Download it free from Google Play and allow the microphone when asked.
Play a few keys
Run a health check, or open the tuner and play any key you want to check.
Decide what to do
Share the report with your technician, book a tuning, or tune the piano yourself with the guided tuning.
Your piano stays private
The app listens only while a tuning screen is open. Sound is analysed on your phone and thrown away straight after; it is never recorded or uploaded. Only the results, such as how many cents each key is off, are saved.
Questions about the app
Is the app free?
Yes. Tune In Time: Piano Tuner is free to download on Google Play.
Is there an iPhone version?
The iPhone version is on its way to the App Store. Until then, you can use the free piano tuner on this website from any phone.
Do I need an account?
Not for the tuner or your first health check. Saving pianos, sharing reports and guided tuning use a free account (Apple, Google or email), so your data is backed up and synced.
Can I really tune my piano with it?
If you have a tuning lever and some patience, yes: the guided tuning takes you through every string. Tuning takes practice, though, and a piano that is far out of tune needs care, so many owners use the app to check their piano and leave the tuning to a technician.
Does the app record me?
No. Sound is analysed on your phone as you play and discarded immediately. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
Which languages does it support?
English and Hebrew. You can switch languages in the app's settings.
