Schumann

The Schumann Piano Company was an Illinois maker led by W. N. Van Matre, who took control in 1900 and moved production to Rockford in 1903. It built uprights, player pianos and small grands, and also made the Barnes & Sons and Plymouth lines. After the Depression the name passed to Estey and later Kimball; it is now used on pianos made in China.
