Ricca & Son was a piano and player-piano maker on Southern Boulevard in the Bronx, New York, founded by Luigi Ricca, a teacher of string instruments who wanted a lighter, Italian-style tone. His son Hugo Ricca later ran the firm, which also controlled the Mansfield name and in 1933 bought the Ludwig brand, building Ludwig pianos until World War II.
