Richard Lipp & Sohn
Piano maker founded by Richard Lipp in Stuttgart in 1831; his son Robert Lipp took over the firm in 1873. The original company struggled after the Second World War and closed in 1972 after several changes of owner. The name was later used under licence by Bentley in England (1985–1992) and then by Whelpdale, Maxwell & Codd until about 1998.
