Nordheimer

Nordheimer was started by the brothers Abraham and Samuel Nordheimer as a piano importer and music dealer, first in Kingston and from 1844 in Toronto. It began making its own pianos in the 1860s, opened its own factory around 1890 and had built about 21,500 instruments by 1927. Heintzman & Co. took over the firm in 1927–28 and kept the Nordheimer name on some models until 1960.
