Cable & Sons

Cable & Sons was a New York piano firm with headquarters at 550 West 38th Street, traced to cabinetmaker Robert Cable, who began by building piano cases for other makers around 1852. It took the Cable & Sons name after his sons joined and was incorporated in 1923. It became part of the United Piano Corporation, which Lester Piano Co. controlled from 1927, and Lester used the name until about 1936.
