N. W. Nelson was a brand name used by the Estey Piano Corporation, which B. K. Settergren had moved to Bluffton, Indiana, in the late 1920s. Estey sold pianos under many such names, including Wegman, Malcolm Love, Settergren and Purcell. N. W. Nelson consoles from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s carry Estey's shared serial numbers.
