Jacob Brothers
Jacob Brothers began in 1878 as a piano retailer in New York and Boston, selling instruments made by Peek & Sons. After 1905 it built its own pianos and made instruments for other brands, including James & Holmstrom, which it had taken over in 1900. From 1946 Jacob Brothers pianos were made by the Mathushek Piano Company; the name disappears after about 1955.
