Christman was a New York piano maker started by Peter Christman in 1885 and incorporated by his sons in 1911, with its factory on East 137th Street. It built costly, high-grade pianos in modest numbers, and in the 1920s advertised player and reproducing pianos and a compact Studio Grand. It also used the Lockhart, Schuler and Worthington names.
