Baus was a New York piano maker started by Augustus Baus in 1880 as Augustus Baus & Co., with a factory on Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. It became the Baus Piano Company in 1895 and made uprights, grands and player pianos. The Jacob Doll firm took control around 1910, and the company closed during the Great Depression.
