B. Shoninger
German immigrant Bernard Shoninger began building melodeons and organs in Woodbridge, Connecticut, in 1850 and moved to New Haven after a fire in 1865. The firm added pianos in 1887 as B. Shoninger & Co. and became the Shoninger Piano Company in 1922. During the Depression it was absorbed by the National Piano Manufacturing Company, which used the name until the 1960s.
