Ernest Gabler & Brother

Ernest Gabler, an immigrant piano maker who had worked at Chickering in Boston, set up his own firm in New York in 1854. In 1883 he and his brother Emil formed Ernest Gabler & Brother, known for costly square grands and uprights and later baby grands and player pianos. The firm went out of business around 1932 during the Great Depression.
