Beale

Beale was an Australian piano maker founded by Octavius Beale, who opened Australia's first piano factory in Sydney in 1893 after years importing pianos and sewing machines. Its Annandale works used local timbers and made most parts in-house. The firm was sold to W. H. Paling & Co. in 1961 and the factory closed in 1975; the Beale name is now used on pianos made in China.
